INFANT CLASS
6 months to 18 months old

IShine provides a warm, welcoming environment where our infants can grow from a bundle of joy to a bundle of curiosity.
Our unique programme is delivered to infants and parents of young infants over the first 6 months of life. We believe in including parents and caretakers and encourage them to actively participate in our sessions. Our curriculum at this stage is based on research that has shown we can influence parent's knowledge and parenting confidence and impact the lifelong learning of an infant.

IShine helps your infant learn to engage with others.
We believe in using verbal and non verbal communication. Our sessions incorporate non-verbal gestures, stories, picture books and songs to enhance early conversational skills. IShine provides a safe and nurturing "home away from home" set up where infants can explore and make new discoveries with their parents and caretakers.

IShine prepares your infant to think and reason.
We assist your child in exploring the concepts of cause-and-effect, trial-and-error, and object permanence through play by providing a variety of materials to encourage the use of all five senses to discover the world. We believe that early stimulation is essential to a child's rapid formulation of ideas and concepts.

IShine lays the foundation for your infant to develop trusting relationships.
We respond to your baby with sensitivity and attention and a parenthesis approach, facial expressions, and eye contact to communicate, to promote self-awareness. We provide continuity with your child's home with the presence of a parent or caretaker.

IShine helps your infant improve mobility and coordination.
We support your baby as he or she rolls from side-to-side and learns to crawl, stand, and walk; support the development of motor skills with blocks and shape boards; and meet your child's individual needs for rest and nutrition.

IShine encourages your child to express individuality.
We provide paint, crayons, and other tools that promote artistic exploration and creativity; support imaginative play and encourage self-expression through movement and music. Young children learn through exploratory play, and our program is designed to provide infants with the skills that serve as building blocks for a lifetime of learning.

TODDLER CLASS
18 months to 24 months old

The toddler classrooms are the busiest!
Children at this age are ready for a more structured learning environment, one that promotes creativity, exploration and self confidence. Our curriculum is tailored to support the physical, cognitive, social and emotional development and both fine and gross motor skills as they explore self, family and the world in which they live. As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through hands-on experiences. Our teachers furnish each day with endless songs, stories and games to increase and develop a toddlers concentration, coordination, language skills, responsibility and respect.

Story telling activities encourage your child to practice imitating, responding and following simple directions to support rich vocabulary development.

IShine encourages your toddler to learn about the world.
We provide opportunities to bring concepts of cause-and-effect to life through the Key to Learning method, Kinder-music, and creative art; and model and encourage your child to practice their integration into the world.

IShine supports your toddler in growing socially and emotionally.
We encourage interactions with other children in group activities; guide the development of sharing and listening skills; model how to express emotions appropriately; and guide your child to learn classroom routines.

IShine provides ways for your toddler to gain increased body awareness.
We teach body parts through stories, song, and rhyme; promote self-care skills such as feeding, cleaning, and dressing; and support large-motor development and eye-hand coordination through a variety of activities such as kicking balls, tossing, writing, drawing, and lacing.

IShine helps your toddler to develop their individual talents.
We encourage pretending and role-playing through play with props; support individual expression through participation in group activities; and promote self-expression through art and music.

NURSERY SCHOOL
24 months to 4 years old

Our nursery schools are all about children's independence and social interaction with others. IShine offers children a hands-on approach to learning as they adopt skills which lay the groundwork for lifelong growth. Students are introduced to new materials, activities, project-based learning and concepts that encourage the development of specific skills and concepts for success in the 21st Century.

During the course of the day, children are encouraged to make choices for themselves, cooperate with others as well as listen and follow directions. Children are encouraged to be independent and responsible in daily activities such as personal hygiene and learn the concepts of ownership and accountability.

IShine helps your child increase language skills.
We stimulate vocabulary development by the use of credible and innovative methods to facilitate sound language development through play with letters and writing centers; and strengthen conversation skills with group sharing and reading experiences. We use concepts from the Key to Learning curriculum, Reggio Emilia to promote independent thinking skills and freedom of expression.

IShine immerses your child in experiences designed to expand the mind.
We encourage investigation and problem solving; provide opportunities to practice sorting, matching and categorizing; and use blocks and math cards to teach counting, number identification, and patterning.

IShine helps your child experience a sense of community.
We support cooperative play; use whole- and small-group activities to model sharing, communication, and cooperation; and demonstrate how to recognize others' feelings and respond appropriately. We also introduce simple character building through weekly lessons.

IShine coaches your child to develop new physical abilities.
We stress a lot of importance on strengthening large-motor skills, improving fine-motor and eye-hand coordination and developing coordination with a safe & well-structured indoor gym.

IShine encourages your child to express individuality.
We support pretend play and role-playing with props and costumes; encourage creative expression through age-appropriate art materials; and stimulate imagination through storytelling which includes character building too.

KINDERGARTEN
4 years to 6 years old

What makes learning fun? What makes a child want to learn? It’s a programme like ours. Our safe and enriching programme focuses on all aspects of creative learning. The Kindergarten 1 and 2 students rotate around a variety of learning activities to help stimulate a healthy imagination.Their individuality is appreciated and their achievements are applauded. Preparing these young minds for success in primary school is the fundamental goal of the teachers as they encourage verbal skills, teach self-help skills and promote self assurance.

IShine helps your child to enhance communication skills.
We help the kindergartener to participate in collaborative conversation on a variety of topics; support asking and answering thought-provoking questions, reading aloud, and developing writing skills; and encourage expressing thoughts, feelings, and ideas through individual and group discussion.

IShine supports your child in learning to gather information in new ways.
We provide opportunities to carry out scientific investigations, estimate, and measure; use maps, charts, and graphs to teach about geography; and provide kindergarten age-appropriate experiences with technology, earth science, life science, and physical science.

IShine helps your child understand the importance of collaboration.
We provide opportunities to work in teams, develop cooperation skills and a sense of accomplishment, and pride. A sense of community and cultural awareness is also developed through discussions about shared goals and experiences.

IShine encourages your child to take physical development, health, and safety seriously.
We make connections between good nutrition and healthy bodies through games, sports, and nutrition-focused activities; provide opportunities to practice self-help skills.

IShine supports your child in building a confident self-image.
We enhance confidence through movement, dramatic play, and group activities. We support the development of new skills and individual talents in art, music, and dance; and promote creative writing through daily writing opportunities.

As working mothers ourselves, we have realized the need for quality childcare facilities.
